NBA Rumors: Cavs and Spurs vying for David West

Kevin Love and Timofey Mozgov have been taken care of and Tristan Thompson is reportedly close to accepting a deal — although perhaps not as close as it seemed a couple days ago — but the Cleveland Cavaliers are still looking to shore up their front line. The team is reportedly very interested in signing veteran power forward David West, last of the Indiana Pacers.

Assuming that Thompson ends up signing, adding West would give the Cavs a crowded front line. The Cavs will have Mozgov, Thompson, and Love, along with sometimes-power-forward LeBron James and the recovering Anderson Varejao. West’s signing would seem to be contingent on his accepting a smaller role.
