Nick Young stole a pass intended for one of his Lakers teammates before hitting a game-winning three to beat the Thunder on Tuesday. But according to a report from Erik Horne of The Oklahoman, the league informed OKC that the shot shouldn't have counted.
Lost in the last-second excitement was the fact that Young traveled after catching the pass, taking a good four steps to gather himself before letting the ball fly.
Normally, we wouldn't have to rely on an anonymous source for this information, because the NBA releases a Last Two Minute Report for games that are within five points at the two-minute mark of the fourth quarter. This one didn't qualify, however, because the Lakers led by six with two minutes left.
