Lakers will start Las Vegas Summer League with duel vs. No. 1 pick

Depending on how the draft shakes out, we might not have to wait very long to see our very first duel between Karl-Anthony Towns and Jahlil Okafor.

Or maybe it'll be Towns trying to stop a drive from D'Angelo Russell. Perhaps it could even be Okafor vs. Russell, if the Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers so choose to go in those directions. The possibilities are almost limitless, but one thing is for sure: The Lakers and Wolves will tip off Las Vegas Summer League against one another in the first preliminary game.

The Lakers announced their schedule for LVSL on Tuesday, and along with Minnesota, Los Angeles will take on the 76ers and the Knicks before play shifts to a tournament to crown the champion of Las Vegas.
