Kevin Garnett wants to own an NBA team, doesn't want stupid questions

Media day is one of the few times of the year Kevin Garnett actively attends media functions. One of the more private athletes in the NBA often turns into an introvert when you throw him in front of the cameras and reporters, but he had some great one-liners at Timberwolves media day Monday.

He started off well, via Kent Youngblood of the Star Tribune.

Garnett addressed why he came back to Minnesota, not just as part of the trade, but also as a free agent who quickly re-signed this summer:

KG signed a two-year deal with Minnesota this offseason, which was somewhat surprising to see from a 39-year-old, especially one who is starting to look his age. Everyone knows Garnett is around more because of his locker room presence than because of anything else. He's certainly in on that. But he'll be the first one to tell you he's not close to being done playing just yet.

And on wanting to be an owner one day, something he's commented on before?

Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports initially reported last year that Garnett has dreams of one day buying the Wolves. Clearly, that would be a quickly embraced move by the local fan base. Who knows when the organization will be up for sale in the future, though.
