Did Rockets disrespect Curry in captain's meeting before Game 1?

Before every NBA game there's a brief captain's meeting where the leaders of each team meet with a referee and shake each other's hand. Stephen Curry and Andre Iguodala are the two captains of the Golden State Warriors and James Harden is captain of the Houston Rockets.
But for whatever reason, before Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals the Rockets sent rookie Nick Johnson to represent them in Harden's place.
The MVP runner-up didn't shake hands with the MVP, and, well, the MVP didn't look too pleased by the whole ordeal, walking from the fray with a mildly disgusted look on his face before shaking his head.
This shouldn't blow up into a big deal, but it's still strange. And Curry appeared to take it as a sign of disrespect. He had the last laugh, though, scoring a game-high 34 points in Golden State's win.
Johnson never saw the floor.
