Darren Collison Receives 8-game Suspension
A few months back, Sacramento Kings’ point guard Darren Collison was arrested for a domestic violence charge and was later convicted.
Although it was inevitable that the 7-year veteran would receive a suspension from the NBA, it was uncertain how long it would be. The NBA cleared it up today.
It was reported today by multiple sources that Collison will be suspended for the first eight games of the upcoming NBA season.

The reports also stated that Collison’s suspension won’t start until the regular season begins, meaning that Darren is available to participate in practices and play in preseason games for the Kings.
In my opinion, I was expecting a heftier punishment towards Collison. Around the realm of 15-20 games was a suspension that I was anticipating after finding out that Collison was eventually convicted of his charges.
So Kings fans, what are your thoughts on the duration of Collison’s suspension. To express your opinion on the issue, feel free to comment on our Twitter account, Facebook page, or website.
