Charlotte Hornets vs Boston Celtics: Preseason Game 3
After losing their first two preseason games, the Charlotte Hornets will be looking to bounce back against the Boston Celtics.
The Charlotte Hornets take on the Boston Celtics today at 3:30 in the afternoon in the back end of the two game series. The game will be played in Uncasville, Ct at the Mohegan Sun Arena. Much like their last game in Greensboro, the Celtics are looking to branch out a preseason game to a different area than their home city.
What happened last game:
Jeremy Lamb proving he belongs
For a detailed summary of the last game, click here. Jeremy Lamb was the MVP for the Hornets last game with a stat line of 16 points on 64% shooting, 10 rebounds, and four assist. He also had a highlight back door dunk that got the crowd going.
This is the player that Charlotte Hornets fans fell in love with early on last season. It is easy to forget that he played a huge role in the second unit (Bench Force One) before he ended up in Clifford’s doghouse. Hopefully this is the start of him being more consistent.

Frank Kaminsky getting comfortable
Frank Kaminsky put together a solid game as well. He had a couple of nice post moves, and even a baby floater reminiscent of Al Jefferson. He produced a stat line of 10 points on 50% shooting, 6 rebounds, and 1 assist. Kaminsky has certainly earned more playing time during the regular season. The only thing he hasn’t shown off yet this month is his ability to stretch the floor with his range.
They might say you’re #stillarookie, but those definitely aren’t rookie moves🔥 pic.twitter.com/unUM6issrh

Matchup to Watch:
Marco Belinelli vs. Avery Bradley/ Jaylen Brown
I’m still waiting on Marco Belinelli to establish himself. This will be his third game as a Charlotte Hornet. By now, Belinelli should be establishing chemistry with some of the players. The more comfortable he feels on the court, the more likely he will be willing to shoot it.
Ideally, this will be his break out game. Jaylon Brown has shown flashes of being a good on ball defender but hopefully Belinelli will be able to take advantage of the rookie.
