Who says sequels aren't as good as the original?
Game 1 of the 2016 NBA Finals between Golden State and Cleveland, which saw the defending champion Warriors win 104-89, recorded the highest TV rating in league history since the 15.2 overnight mark drawn by the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Lakers in 2001.
It might not be that of the Super Bowl, but if this trend of hockey-stick ratings continues, you have to imagine a potential Game 7 between these two titans of basketball would draw a new record number of viewers in NBA history.
