Cavs GM: Shumpert, Dellavedova to receive qualifying offers

The Cleveland Cavaliers' run to the NBA Finals came as a surprise, even with the world's best player, LeBron James, on the team.

Injuries to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving in the playoffs were both seen as season-enders when they occurred, but an especially emboldened James and spectacular work by role players carried them to within two games of a league title.

Iman Shumpert and Matthew Dellavedova were two of those role players, and they both delivered especially good performances. A team presser Thursday afternoon revealed that both are set to be rewarded (at least a little bit) for their work:

Time will tell whether the offers are enough to retain both, or either, player. But it's clear that Cleveland wants them back.
