Cavaliers reportedly targeting Embiid with No. 1 pick

Hours after landing another No. 1 pick, the Cavaliers are reportedly targeting a big man at that spot.

Joel Embiid is on the top of the Cavaliers' draft board, but the team is still trying to acquire medical information on the former Kansas center's back, ESPN reports.

The Cavaliers, who secured the No. 1 pick for the third time in four years, are also keeping their options open. The team is still considering former Kansas standout Andrew Wiggins and former Duke star Jabari Parker, according to the report.

Embiid, a 7-footer who missed the Jayhawks' final two regular-season games, the Big 12 tournament and Kansas' two NCAA Tournament games due to a lower-back injury, averaged 11.2 points, 8.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks last season.

The Cavaliers picked forward Anthony Bennett last year with the No. 1 pick. Bennett had a rocky rookie season, averaging just 4.2 points and 3 rebounds in 52 games with Cleveland.

The Cavaliers had much more success with their previous top overall pick Kyrie Irving, who was taken first in 2011. Irving has averaged 20.7 points and 5.6 assists in his first three seasons in Cleveland.
