Byron Scott's game plan for Kobe's final game: 'Get KB the ball'

Published Apr. 11, 2016 8:08 p.m. ET

The 20-year career of Kobe Bryant is almost over. The Los Angeles Lakers icon plays the Thunder on Monday and wraps it up Wednesday at Staples Center against the Jazz.

And Utah better be ready for a heavy dose of Kobe, at least if you believe what Lakers coach Byron Scott is telling the media.

Well, Lakers fans will love that game plan. Why not see the Black Mamba do what he does, jack up shots without any regard for anyone else's feelings?

But Kobe might not be on board with that plan, even though he's coming off a 35-point outburst Sunday.

Astute Lakers fans might actually ask how this plan differs from any other game this season, considering Kobe is averaging a team-high 16.4 attempts per game.
