Watch Mike Pelfrey ward off sunflower seeds during dugout interview with stylish hat

Mike Pelfrey is a cagey veteran when it comes to dugout interviews.

He showed us this much during Friday's Twins-Cubs game, when his teammates attempted to foil his in-game interview with the 'ole sunflower seed prank.

But Pelfrey, however, came prepared.

As the seeds began to fall, the right-hander politely stopped the interview and pulled out of his pocket a beekeeper hat, which he brought to protect himself from being pelted with peanuts and seeds.

Bravo, Mike Pelfrey, for developing the latest in in-game interview protection.

Here's hoping others will follow suit.
