Watch a Cardinals fan try to steal Jason Heyward's glove after a great catch
Jason Heyward went into enemy territory to make an outstanding catch that temporarily preserved Kyle Hendricks’ no-hitter in the Cubs’ 4-1 win over the Cardinals on Monday night. But Heyward almost came away empty-handed.
With one out in the sixth inning, the Cardinals’ Jeremy Hazelbaker sent a foul ball toward the seats down the right-field line – the same area Heyward patrolled when he played for St. Louis last season. Heyward somehow came away with the ball, but one overzealous Cardinals fan tried to come away with Heyward’s glove.
