It's his last year in the booth, but iconic Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully is still dropping gems.

During the Dodgers' opening day game against the Padres, Scully relayed one of his countless stories that have made him the voice of the Dodgers for 67 years.

The 88-year-old revealed the first time he heard the G.O.A.T on Monday's broadcast, learning what the new-school acronym means from Padres outfielder Jon Jay.

"Jon Jay had a big thrill," Scully began with his priceless voice. "He was in a shoe store buying some shoes and who came in? Michael Jordan."

Then Scully, without missing a beat, returns to the on-field action, calling Jay's opposite-field single.

"And when he talks about meeting Michael Jordan in the shoe store," Scully continued. "He refers to him as the G.O.A.T. And you say 'goat?' Why is Michael Jordan goat? 'No, no,' he said. G-O-A-T. Greatest of all time. You ever heard that?"

Mr. Scully, don't ever change.
