Twitter reacts to Chicago Cubs' crazy eighth inning
The Chicago Cubs had a crazy bottom of the eighth inning of Game 1 of the NLCS against the Los Angeles Dodgers. Here is how Twitter exploded because of it.
The Chicago Cubs had one of the most insane frames in a postseason game in recent memory. Chicago was tied 3-3 entering the bottom of the eighth inning in Game 1 of the 2016 National League Championship Series. The Cubs were leading 3-1 at the top of the eighth inning.
Then something remarkable happened. Catcher Miguel Montero hit a pinch-hit grand slam to make it 7-3 Cubs. The next batter was center fielder Dexter Fowler. He already made a crazy catch that saw him break his belt in the fourth inning. He goes back-to-back with Montero to put Chicago up 8-3. The Cubs would go on to win Game 1 of the NLCS, 8-4.

The Cubs only need to win seven more games before winning their first World Series Championship in a century. It was a great day for baseball fans on the North Side of the Windy City.
