St. Louis Cardinals: Fandom 250 Ranking Announced

In the excitement of the Winter Meetings and all of the rumor speculations, the news of the FanSided Fandom 250 announcement was missed in the smoke. Fandom 250 is a ranking of the top and best fan bases, but where did the St. Louis Cardinals land?
The St. Louis Cardinals are known to have the best fans in baseball. Was this good enough to rank high in the Fandom 250? Let me just jump to the chase… no, it was not. While I am thrilled to have Cardinals Nation included in the top 250 fandoms in the world, I’m frustrated by the ranking.
Before I write about my reaction to the ranking, let me encourage you to jump over and take a look at the fun and exciting FanSided post by clicking here.
The Fandom 250 runs the table from the best fans of Garth Brooks to horror movies to the Chicago Cubs. Let’s take a little journey through the MLB rankings:
Let me take a minute here. Let us all scream for just a moment. The Cardinals lost to the sooooooo many on the list. Really?!? Okay, let me go back to the list and I’ll return to my reaction after we hear which MLB franchises beat the Cardinals.

WHAT?! I will admit that the Cubs have a great fan base but their fans are nothing in comparison to the Cardinals. Yes, I’m biased but I’m also realistic that the Cubs fans are in no way better than the Yankee fans or any of the other MLB organizations who were completely absent from the list.
And what about those absent teams? How are you guys feeling? Mad that you are missing? Mad that you are missing and things like the NRA made the list? Mad that the Obamas are on the list but no mention of the Astros or the Marlins?
How about you, Cardinals Nation, are you happy with this ranking? I’d love to hear your reaction.

All of that aside, it is good- I guess- to be included in the 250 list. While I don’t mind losing to Star Wars or Friends or Harry Potter, I do think the best fans in baseball deserved better. Thanks for reading!
