Royals Report: Kendrys Morales Powers KC To 10-3 Win
The Royals notched their second straight win on Sunday afternoon, blasting the Chicago White Sox 10-3 at Kauffman Stadium. Kendrys Morales slammed a two-run home run in the sixth inning to record his 1000th career hit.

The Kansas City Royals won 8-2 on Sunday night to improve to 76-73. The Orioles won on Sunday to remain 6.0 games ahead of Kansas City in the wild card chase, but the Blue Jays trail the Angels 1-0 as this report was posted. KC sits 5.5 games behind Toronto pending the outcome of their game.
Kendrys Morales powered the KC Royals by going 3 for 5 with a double and a home run with four RBIs. Morales capped the scoring for KC with his two-run shot in the sixth inning. The day after Ned Yost recorded his 1000th career win as a manager, Morales passed his 1000th hit milestone.
Danny Duffy won his 13th game of the season (13-2) by going 7.0 innings, allowing 8 hits, 1 walk, and 3 earned runs with 8 strikeouts. He left the game leading 8-2 after allowing to hits to open the eighth inning.
