Rangers reportedly reach 1-year deal to bring back SP Lewis

The Texas Rangers have agreed to a one-year, $6 million deal with free-agent right-hander Colby Lewis, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram first reported Friday.

Lewis, 36, went 17-9 with a 4.66 ERA in 33 starts for the Rangers in 2015. He struck out 142 batters in 204 2/3 innings.

In his 10-season major-league career, he is 71-67 with a 4.81 ERA and a 7.3 K/9 ratio. He has spent eight seasons with the Rangers as well as one season with both the Oakland Athletics and Detroit Tigers.
