Pirates place Harrison on disabled list

The Pittsbugh Pirates have placed Josh Harrison on the 15 day disabled list with a torn ligament in his thumb, according to the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.

Harrison injured himself in Sunday's game and was removed from the game early.

The Pirates infielder is hitting .279 with four homers and 22 RBIs this season. Travis Ishikawa will take Harrison's spot on the roster.
