Pirates not worried about pitching depth

The Pittsburgh Pirates traded Clayton Richard, but the organization still feels it has enough pitching depth.

"We've lost surplus. We lost depth in our depth," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle told Pirates.com. "But I still think we're in a place where we're covered. If we lose two starters, that might change."

There is no such thing as having to much pitching so having a healthy Richard in the mix would be a benefit to the Pirates, but the team certainly wouldn't have traded if there was a dire need for the extra arm.
