Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher A.J. Burnett took the mound for the his final regular season start on Saturday night, as he is set to retire after this year.

He certainly had a last day to remember.

Prior to the game, his agent and financial advisor gave him a Batmobile-cycle as a retirement gift:

After 6 2/3 innings and 107 pitches, Burnett exited to a standing ovation at PNC Park:

All of this, paired with the Pirates throwing up a Bat-Signal when he came off the disabled list earlier in September, has likely made this a very memorable month for Burnett.

Over his incredible 17-year career, Burnett owns a 164-155 record with a 3.99 ERA. He owns a World Series ring from the 2009 Yankees, but there's no doubt he'd love to retire on a high note, bringing a championship to Pittsburgh in his final season.
