Photo: Missouri city changes street from 'Blue Jay Dr.' to 'Royals Dr.'


The city of Liberty, Missouri, is in full-on ALCS mode with the Kansas City Royals doing battle with the Toronto Blue Jays for a chance to advance to the World Series.
As a result, some important changes had to be made. Specifically, something simply had to be done with Blue Jay Drive, located along Missouri Route 152.
The thought of having a street name pertaining to the enemy just would not stand, so the city did what it had to do: It changed it to Royals Drive. Check it out, courtesy of the city's Twitter page:

This is another example of the enthusiasm displayed by the KC area in support of their Royals, coming after a Blue Jays vs. Royals 'rap battle' was uploaded to YouTube, a local high school choir sang a Royals-themed version of Lorde's hit 'Royals', and the wager made between KC mayor Sly James and Toronto mayor John Tory.
