Mets' Cespedes tweets back to Seinfeld: Hope to see you soon
Talk about a warm New York welcome: Yoenis Cespedes is looking forward to meeting one of the Mets' most famous fans.
Shortly after the Mets acquired Cespedes at Friday's trade deadline, comedian Jerry Seinfeld sent out a tweet that evoked memories from one of the more famous episodes of his long-running sitcom and quickly went viral.
Oh my god. @Mets I can't believe I can actually say this, but is it true that there is now "A Cespedis for the rest of us"? #mets #T7L

"I can't believe I can actually say this, but is it true that there is now "A Cespedis for the rest of us"? Seinfeld wrote. (The tweet mimicked the famous line: "A Festivus for the rest of us!" from an episode celebrating a fictional winter holiday.)
The newest Met retweeted last week's Twitter "welcome" posting by Jerry Seinfeld and replied that he looks forward to seeing the comedian at a game soon.
Looking forward to seeing you at a game Jerry https://t.co/Xab9sNcbTg

From what he posted on his Twitter account, it seems as though Seinfeld is enjoying the Mets' run.
When @mets get hot it's different from Knicks, Yanks or Rangers. It feels like something crazy is happening. #thebest #backinthenygroove
