Among the thousands of raucous Cubs fans at Wrigley Field for Game 3 on Friday night was Cleveland Indians starter Josh Tomlin's biggest fan.

Jerry Tomlin, Josh’s father, was able to witness his son’s strong outing — just two months after a spinal cord condition left him paralyzed from the chest down. Josh had dinner with Jerry on Thursday night and was scanning he crowd to find his father prior to his Game 3 start. Rest assured, the proud papa was there.

FOX Sports’ Ken Rosenthal spoke to Jerry Tomlin in the sixth inning of the Game 3 broadcast:

Jerry had to be thrilled with his son’s performance: 4.2 scoreless innings that featured just two hits and a walk. Quite a moment.
