Giancarlo Stanton hits galactic home run in return to Marlins lineup

Published Sep. 19, 2016 8:15 p.m. ET

On Monday night, Giancarlo Stanton made his return to the Miami Marlins starting lineup after an extended absence due to a groin injury.

If you had any doubts whether Stanton's unfathomable power was going to be diminished by his injury, that argument was put to rest when Giancarlo unleashed this absolutely mammoth home run in the second inning of Monday night's game vs. the Washington Nationals:

He hit it over the damn Budweiser sign located above the left center field concourse bar.
