FS1 exclusive: Rose's first comments since recent gambling report

Pete Rose went on FOX Sports 1's "America's Pregame" on Thursday and made his first public comments in response to a recent ESPN report that claims he did, in fact, gamble on baseball as a player.

Rose, 74, admitted in 2004 to gambling on baseball as a manager but has long maintained he never did so as a player. However, recent documents obtained by ESPN's "Outside the Lines" indicated that Rose may have gambled on baseball extensively as a player, including betting on his own team, the Cincinnati Reds.

The documents were copied pages of a notebook seized from the home of known Rose associate Michael Bertolini, containing what appeared to be recorded bets he took from Rose in 1986, Rose's final year in the majors.
