Former major leaguer Royce Clayton revolutionizing at-bat music

Published Dec. 15, 2015 1:16 p.m. ET

After a 17-year career as a shortstop in the majors during which he played for 11 different teams, Royce Clayton is still finding ways to leave his mark in baseball.

Clayton, who played Miguel Tejada in the 2011 movie version of Moneyball, fears visits to the ballpark are losing their luster with marketing machines such as the NFL and NBA consistently creating more excitement for the game-day experience. The former All-Star is hoping to change that for America's Pastime.

"We're losing kids to other sports," Clayton told Rolling Stone

The solution according to Clayton? Customized walk-up songs, produced by his company MUSIQ Locker.
