Dodger bullpen extends scoreless inning streak

Published May. 4, 2015 2:31 a.m. ET

The Dodger bullpen -- a point of concern last year -- is proving to be a strength this season. The seven scoreless innings of relief turned in by seven different relievers on Sunday extended the bullpen’s number of consecutive scoreless frames to 26.

Dodger relievers have combined for an ERA of 1.81 which is second to the Cardinals in the National League. Last season the bullpen ended up with an ERA of 3.80 which ranked 22nd in the majors, according to ESPN. Among the best in the ‘pen this year are Adam Liberatore and Joel Peralta who both have yet to allow a run, and Yimi Garcia who has an ERA of 0.71 in 12 2/3 innings.
