Carlos Gonzalez named co-NL Player of the Week alongside Hamels

Carlos Gonzalez had an offensive explosion last week, which he received recognition for on Monday.
The Colorado Rockies right fielder was deemed co-NL Player of the Week alongside Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Cole Hamels, who threw a no-hitter on Saturday.
From July 20 to July 26, Gonzalez had an incredible five-game stretch, which included five home runs, 11 RBI, and nine runs scored.

Hitting .476 over 21 at-bats, the 29-year-old outfielder boosted his batting average up 14 points to .270.
Gonzalez notably had two multi-home run games last week, tying a career high with six RBI in one of those games.
After his offensive burst, Gonzalez has 19 home runs with 49 RBI in 90 games this season.
