Cardinals prospect hits a grand slam

The Major League team may have a couple days off, but that doesn't mean all baseball activities have been placed on pause.

The Cardinals' Minor League teams are still in action and had a thrilling victory on Wednesday as Double-A Springfield shortstop Aledmys Diaz hit a game-winning grand slam.

According to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, "it was the fifth home run of 2015 for the shortstop, who went 2 for 4 and is batting .247. Diaz recently was removed from the St. Louis Cardinals' 40-man roster; he cleared waivers and returned to Springfield."
