Blue Jays manager on Bautista's bat flip: 'I don't like it'

After mashing a go-ahead three-run blast in Game 5 of the ALDS, Jose Bautista gave a bat flip for the ages, becoming the bat flip heard 'round the world.

It's become so popular that one fan even got a tattoo of Bautista not even 24 hours after the blast.

The emphatic flip has been a source of discussion and controversy, sparking people from all over to weigh in on it.

Toronto Blue Jays manager John Gibbons, however, wasn't a fan.

“Everybody celebrates more so than they used to,” Gibbons said via the New York Post. “If it’s happening for your team, your guy gets a big hit, nobody minds. If you are on the other side, nobody likes it.

“Personally, I don’t like it, but I think we all have kind of moved on past that.’’

Gibbons might not have liked how Bautista handled the home run, but there's no denying the result.

The Blue Jays will face the Kansas City Royals in the ALCS beginning on Friday.
