The Miami Marlins let Barry Bonds go after only one season as the team's hitting coach, presumably because the offense didn't improve much.

In 2015, Miami ranked second-to-last in the MLB in runs scored and 26th in OPS. This year, those numbers improved only slightly, as the Marlins ranked 27th in runs scored and 25th in OPS.

There were also reports that Bonds didn't completely mesh with manager Don Mattingly or star outfielder Giancarlo Stanton.
