A big initiative MLB has taken this season is keeping its fans safe. Netting has been extended down the third and first baselines to prevent foul balls and broken bats from flying into the stands. The Oakland Athletics are among the teams to provide further safety with nets, but this ball boy is doing his part, too.
In the top of the third inning, Christian Colon of the Kansas City Royals sliced one towards the stands in right field, but the ball boy put on his hero cape and made a terrific grab to save the fans in the front row. And he made it look so easy.
