ALDS 2016: Rangers vs. Blue Jays TV schedule

The ALDS matchup between the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays will be televised in the US and Canada; here is the schedule.

Beginning Thursday, October 6, the Texas Rangers and Toronto Blue Jays will square off in the American League Division Series. In the United States, the series will be shown on TBS. In Canada, the games will be televised by SN.

The first game of the series is scheduled for 4:30 PM ET. Game 2 follows Game 1 on Friday, and is a matinee with a 1:00 PM start time. Game 3 takes place on Sunday, October 9, at 7:30 PM.

The start times for Game 4 and Game 5 have not been set yet, and the games will only be played if necessary. Game 4 will be played on Monday, October 10 in Toronto. The series will switch back to Texas for a Game 5 if necessary next Wednesday.

TBS has assigned the commentators for the Texas-Toronto series. Brian Anderson, Dennis Eckersley, Joe Simpson, and Matt Winer will cover the series.

The network has announced several new features that will be rolled out during the playoffs this year, including:

    TBS will also host pre- and post-game studio shows with a panel led by MLB Network host Casey Stern and a rotating cast of former players, including Jimmy Rollins, Pedro Martinez, and Gary Sheffield.

    The Rangers have announced that Cole Hamels will be their Game 1 starter, while the Jays have yet to make an announcement.
