Drew Crowell scored a career-high 19 points and Wofford shot better than 50 percent for the second straight game in a 73-61 Southern Conference victory over Appalachian State on Thursday night.

Kevin Giltner added 18 points for the Terriers (11-8, 4-3), who have won four straight against the Mountaineers (7-10, 3-4).

After Wofford led 30-25 at halftime, Appalachian State pulled ahead briefly at 33-32.

The Terriers then built a 12-point cushion with 9:09 remaining and the Mountaineers could get no closer than seven from that point.

Wofford shot 53.8 percent (28 of 52), including 62.5 percent in the second half (15 of 24), and outrebounded Appalachian State 33-25.

The Mountaineers, who shot 41.5 percent (22 of 53), hit 8 of 23 3-pointers.

Appalachian State turned the ball over only six times, compared to eight for the Terriers.

Andre Williamson led the Mountaineers with 20 points and nine rebounds.
