Tony Meier had a game-high 18 points and Wisconsin-Milwaukee shot 45.5 percent from the field to beat Detroit 68-63 on Saturday afternoon. Jason Averkamp and Ricky Franklin added 13 apiece for the Panthers (16-13, 11-7 Horizon League). Wisconsin-Milwaukee made 70 percent (7 of 10) of their 3-pointers in the first half and 50 percent for the game (10 of 20). Woody Payne led Detroit (7-22, 2-17) with 10 points and was the only Titan in double figures. Michael Harrington and Eulis Stephens had 9 each. The Titan bench outscored the Panthers 30-16. Wisconsin-Milwaukee led 32-27 at halftime and pulled ahead by as many as 13 with 4:27 remaining in the game, which included seven ties and six lead changes.
