Keith Gabriel scored 29 points and Stan Okoye added 25 to lead Virginia Military Institute to an 88-77 win over High Point on Thursday night.

The win for the Keydets was their 13th straight at home, which tied the second-best home winning streak in program history.

D.J. Covington added 13 points for the Keydets (10-9, 5-4 Big South Conference), who have won three games in a row and seven straight in the series.

The game was tied four times and there were four lead changes. VMI didn't put the game away until it used a 13-3 run for a 74-62 lead with 6:35 remaining. The lead never dipped below double digits the rest of the way and the Keydets had their biggest lead at 84-69 with 2 minutes to go.

Shay Shine scored 23 points, Nick Barbour added 15 and Corey Law had 11 for the Panthers (7-12, 3-6).
