Bradford Burgess scored 22 points and Virginia Commonwealth cruised to an 87-64 win over North Carolina-Wilmington in the Colonial Athletic Association opener for both teams.

The Rams (7-3) won their fourth straight game and have allowed an average of 55 points during the streak. It was the ninth win in the past 10 games in the series for Virginia Commonwealth.

Juvonte Reddic added 16 points while Treveon Graham and Troy Daniels each had 15 points for the Rams, who shot 46.5 percent (33 of 71) after entering the game averaging less than 40 percent shooting.

The Rams forced 28 turnovers and Darius Theus had seven of their 20 steals.

Keith Rendleman notched his third straight double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Seahawks (2-7), who had a two-game winning streak snapped. K.K. Simmons chipped in with 11 points for the Seahawks.
