Texas G Brown still 'day to day' with neck strain

Texas guard J'Covan Brown is still listed as ``day to day'' by team officials, leaving his status for Monday night's game against Oklahoma uncertain.

Brown was immobilized and carried off the court Saturday after hitting his head on a hard fall in No. 21 Texas' 74-58 loss at Texas A&M. He was taken to a College Station hospital but was later released with what team trainer Eric Fry called a ``neck strain.''

Texas (22-7) has lost seven of its last 12 games and already has lost two guards, Varez Ward and Dogus Balbay, for the season with injuries.
