Talley leads E. Michigan over W. Michigan 69-63

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) Mike Talley scored a career-high 24 points and Eastern Michigan pulled away in the second half to beat Western Michigan 69-63 on Saturday.

Talley scored Eastern Michigan's final seven points of the first half to tie the score at 31-all. Western Michigan led 43-40 with 12:14 to play, but another seven-straight points from Talley - including two 3-pointers - put the Eagles in front.

Eastern Michigan led by as many as 10 in the final minutes. The Broncos closed within four points with 17 seconds left, but Talley made two at the line to seal it.

Talley made four 3-pointers and was 8 of 9 from the free-throw line. Raven Lee added 15 points, and Brandon Nazione finished with 11 for the Eagles (14-7, 3-5 Mid-American).

Tucker Haymond and David Brown led Western Michigan (13-8, 4-4) with 14 points apiece. Connar Tava added 12 points and 10 rebounds.
