Eddie Williams scored 19 points and Stephen F. Austin held off UTSA 70-66 Saturday night.

Jordan Glynn added 15 for the Lumberjacks (15-7, 6-4 Southland), who won their third straight. Darius Gardner, Jereal Scott and Dion Prewster scored 10 apiece as the Lumberjacks shot 53.5 percent (23 of 43).

Melvin Johnson III scored 17 points for the Roadrunners (12-11, 5-5). Devin Gibson and Jeromie Hill added 16 each for UTSA, which rallied from 14 down to within two in the final 1:13.

Neither team missed a free throw until Gardner misfired with 3:44 left. UTSA finished 20 of 22, and the Lumberjacks went 20 of 21.

Stephen F. Austin led 61-47 with 7:35 to go, but Hill's 3-pointer cut it to 66-64 with 1:13 left.

Williams put the Lumberjacks up 68-64, but Gibson's two free throws made it 68-66.

UTSA had one last chance, but Gibson turned it over.
