St. Bonaventure guard Lewis Leonard is transferring out of the program one month after being one of four Bonnies charged in connection with an on-campus fight in which two men were stabbed.

Coach Mark Schmidt announced Leonard's decision on Friday. Leonard's attorney, Brian O'Connell, did not know why the junior was leaving.

He was one of four St. Bonaventure basketball players charged with harassment and disorderly conduct April 9 in connection to an on-campus fight during which two men were stabbed in March. The four are to appear in court Monday.

Leonard, from Philadelphia, averaged less than a point in nine games in his only season with the Bonnies. He joined the program after transferring from San Bernardino Valley College.
