Sally Lee Harrick, the wife of former UCLA basketball coach Jim Harrick, has died. She was 70. UCLA said Harrick died Friday from complications of scleroderma at Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo. There is no known cause for the disease, which involves a buildup of collagen in the skin and other organs. Besides her husband of 49 years, Harrick is survived by three sons, three daughters-in-law and nine grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday in Rancho Santa Margarita, where the couple lived. Jim Harrick coached at UCLA from 1988 to 1996, leading the Bruins to the school's record 11th national championship. He was fired for lying on an expense report, in which he violated NCAA rules by paying for dinners for players Charles O'Bannon and Cameron Dollar. The coach didn't list them on the expense report, instead substituting the names of his wife and the wife of an assistant coach.
