James Johnson had 23 points and Quinnipiac scored 10 of the final 12 points in overtime to surge past Bryant 78-71 Saturday.

Ike Azotam added 19 and Dave Johnson 18 for the Bobcats (10-9, 3-5 Northeast Conference), who snapped a two-game skid.

Quinnipiac also beat the Bulldogs 83-72 on Dec. 3.

The Bobcats led by nine early and 61-56 with 4:28 left in regulation. The Bulldogs (2-17, 1-7) used a 7-2 run, capped by Raphael Jordan's two free throws with 16 seconds left, to force overtime.

Trailing 69-68, James Johnson's 3 with 2:01 remaining sparked the decisive 10-2 run.

Quinnipiac shot only 39.4 percent (26 of 66) - making 2 of 14 3-pointers - with Bryant 36.4 percent (20 of 55) and 7 of 26 from long range.

Quinnipiac hit 24 of 32 free throws and Bryant 24 of 31.

Alex Francis had a season-high 30 points for the Bulldogs.
