Joel Smith scored a game-high 14 points and freshman Quincy Ford tallied his first career double-double as Northeastern earned its third consecutive win by defeating William & Mary 64-50 on Saturday.

The Huskies (8-8, 4-2 Colonial Athletic Association) closed the first half on an 8-0 run to tie the game at 27-all going into halftime. They then grabbed control of the game with a 14-4 run to open the second half and never looked back.

Ford finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Huskies and Jonathan Lee added 12 points.

The Huskies trailed for virtually the entire opening half, falling behind 22-13 after the first 13:17 of play. But Northeastern closed on a 14-5 run, erasing the deficit with a buzzer-beating jumper by Smith.

Quinn McDowell paced the Tribe (4-14, 2-4) with 13 points.
