Jonathan Lee and Joel Smith combined for 40 points, and Lee's late jumper gave Northeastern a 64-62 win over Hofstra Wednesday night in a Colonial Athletic Conference game.

Nathaniel Lester, who led Hofstra (6-11, 0-5) with 19 points, hit a layup with 41 seconds left to tie the game at 62-62. But with 10 seconds to play, Lee scored the decisive basket on a jumper in the lane to send Hofstra to its fourth straight defeat and keep the Pride winless in CAA play.

Lee led Northeastern (7-8, 3-2) with 21 points and Smith added 19 in a game that was tied nine times and had seven lead changes.

Lee's jumper with 2:45 left tied it at 56-all. Hofstra took a three-point lead but Northeastern regained the lead 62-60 on a pair of free throws by Quincy Ford with 48 seconds left. Then Lee came through again.
