N. Colorado 71, E. Washington 70

Tate Unruh hit two free throws with 12 seconds remaining to lift Northern Colorado to a 71-70 victory against Eastern Washington on Saturday.

Mike Proctor had 13 points and Tevin Svihovic added 12 for the Bears (6-10, 3-2 Big Sky), who used nine players, with all scoring at least four points. Northern Colorado took only 35 shots, but made 20 for a 57.1 percentage from the floor.

After Unruh's free throws, the Eagles (9-9, 3-3) did not get off a shot, as Tim Huskisson made a steal for the Bears.

Collin Chiverton, whose jumper with 18 seconds remaining gave Eastern Washington a 70-69 lead, scored 21 points. Cliff Ederaine and Parker Kelly scored 12 points each for the Eagles.
