Montana beats Northern Colorado 89-68 (Jan 12, 2017)

MISSOULA, Mont. (AP) — Ahmaad Rorie had 19 points, Jack Lopez and Michael Oguine added 18 each, and Montana rode out a 20-point halftime lead to beat Northern Colorado 89-68 on Thursday night.

The Grizzlies (9-9, 4-1 Big Sky) made 10 first-half 3-pointers in building a 50-30 lead. The Bears (7-9, 3-2) had a 14-0 run late in the second half, but it was after Montana extended to its largest lead of 31.

Walter Wright added 16 points for Montana which finished 15 of 31 from 3-point range.

Lopez tied a career high with six 3-pointers on 10 attempts. Oguine was 4 of 6 from the arc and Rorie was 3 of 4.

Gerad Davis had 23 points and 12 rebounds and Jordan Davis scored 19 for Northern Colorado.

Montana led the entire way and kept the lead in double digits after 31-20 with 6:45 left in the first half.
