Mann leads Belmont over SIU-Edwardsville 94-75

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) J.J. Mann scored 19 of his 25 points in the first half and Belmont never trailed, rolling to a 94-75 win Wednesday night over SIU-Edwardsville.

Reece Chamberlain scored six of his 18 points in the first half to give Belmont a 48-32 at the break. SIU-Edwardsville pulled to within 10, 50-40 with 17:47 to play. Belmont answered with six points from Evan Bradds to spark a 21-10 run, giving the Bruins a 71-50 lead at the 10:25 mark.

Bradds finished with a career-high 20 points on 10-of-11 shooting. Chamberlain dished out nine assists for Belmont (22-8, 13-2 Ohio Valley), which has won 10 of its last 11 games.

Tim Johnson scored 18 points and Donivine Stewart added 17 points and five assists to lead SIU-Edwardsville (11-18, 7-8), which has lost three of its last four games.
