Dion Waiters scored three of his nine points in the game's final second, converting a three-point play to push Jacksonville State past Tennessee Tech 63-62 Thursday night.

Down 62-60 with 6 seconds left, Jacksonville State's Darion Rackley grabbed the rebound off a free throw miss by Tennessee Tech's Kevin Murphy and got the ball to Waiters. The junior guard was fouled as he laid it in on the Gamecocks' end, and he sank his free throw for the game's final points and a comeback win.

Tarvin Gaines led the Gamecocks (7-14, 2-6 Ohio Valley Conference) with 15 points, Rackley added 11 and Brian Williams 10. Jacksonville State won for just the second time in its last eight games.

Jud Dillard notched a double-double to lead the Golden Eagles (11-8, 3-3), who have dropped two straight for the first time this season, getting game-highs of 21 points and 13 rebounds.
